This Is Our Story
​Double Play Equipment Repurposing was founded in December 2023, inspired by a simple realization: I had outgrown a lot of my baseball gear, and it was just sitting around unused. It struck me that there were probably countless other kids in the same situation—holding onto equipment that could still be valuable to someone else. Instead of letting it gather dust, I saw an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young athletes who might not have the means to purchase new gear.
Today, Double Play Equipment Repurposing is a thriving non-profit organization dedicated to breaking down barriers to sports participation. We’re committed to ensuring that no child is left on the sidelines simply because they lack the necessary gear. Through the generosity of donors and the hard work of our volunteers, we’re able to give second chances to baseball gear—and more importantly, to the kids who receive it. Overall, we've shipped a total of over 500 lbs of gear to over six African countries. Together, we’re building stronger communities, one piece of equipment at a time.
